  • Incomplete applications (questions left unanswered) will be denied
  • Vet references are required (exceptions made for first time dog owners)
  • Must be 25 years or older to apply
  • Must be able to provide proof of identification
  • We follow the breed restriction policies put in place by landlords and city ordinances
  • We adopt to applicants within a 120 mile radius
  • Home visits are required

***For dogs 6 months and older, the adoption fee covers the cost of a spay/neuter, 3 vaccines (Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella), heartworm test, fecal,  dewormer, microchip, and flea/tick/heartworm prevention.

***For puppies 6 months and younger, the adoption fee covers the cost of a spay/neuter, vaccines that are appropriate for its age, fecal, dewormer, microchip, and flea/tick prevention. We cover ALL and up to THREE DHPP vaccines/boosters. Puppies cannot be adopted out until they have had at least two DHPP vaccines.

2. Approved Applications

If approved, we will call for an interview. Then, the foster and potential adopter will set up a date and time for a meet-and-greet at your home. We will bring the dog to your home to ensure the dog is a good fit for your family.

3. Time to Adopt

Following the approved home visit, the adopter can decide if they would like to proceed and complete the adoption process. The adoption is complete following the payment of the non-refundable adoption fee and the signing of the adoption contract (provided at time of adoption).

Foster to Adopt

We offer a foster-to-adopt scenario on a case-by-case basis. Foster-to-adopt means we allow you to foster the dog in your home for a predetermined amount of time following a signed contract and a check that we will hold until you decide whether or not to proceed with the adoption.

Denied Applications

We will notify you either way. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
